Tiger Saw's 2007 Self-titled album will be re-released on April 6th by Burst & Bloom Recordings and is also available as an exclusive download at www.daytrotter.com. Tigers on Fire features a four-person horn section and numerous collaborators from Dirty Projectors' Nat Baldwin and Angel Deradoorian (who sings the show-stopping 'Catalina'), to White Hinterland’s Casey Dienel, and Deer Tick’s John McCauley, among many others.
Tigers on Fire explores the joys found in soul music, basement dance parties, house shows, and the electricity of attraction. Currently based in Portland, ME, the ever-changing collective Tiger Saw was founded in Massachusetts in 1999 by Dylan Metrano and has toured extensively on three continents, and is known for playing unorthodox venues from beach bonfires to treetop sing-alongs, as well as basements and barrooms from coast to coast. Tiger Saw has performed shows with many bands, including Grizzly Bear, Explosions in the Sky, Kimya Dawson, Jens Lekman, Magnolia Electric Co., The Gossip, and Man Man.
