{Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist}
After recently watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, I am now crushing heavily on Kat Dennings who is no doubt this year's Angelina Jolie knockoff!
The movie was about what I expected. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is not spectacular, but it's not bad either, finding influence in John Hughes coming of age movies of the 80's. The best moments come in scenes with Kat Dennings and Michael Cera. The best comedic scenes however, come when the guys are trying to come up with ridiculous names for their band and when Norah's drunk friend is wandering around the city. If you love New York, there are plenty of beautiful shots as the movie plays out like an ode to the city, it's music venues, and of course Gray Papaya's. The soundtrack features a some great tunes from: The Real Tuesday Weld ("Last Words"), The Submarines ("Xavia"), We Are Scientists ("After Hours"), Shout Out Louds ("Very Loud"), and one my favorite Richard Hawley tunes ("Baby You're My Light").
Here's a couple of tunes that were featured in the film (The Pinker Tones - "Sonido Total" is even featured in the trailer) that for some reason (copyrights perhaps?) were not included in the soundtrack...
The National - "All the Wine"
The Pinker Tones - "Sonido Total"

Here's are a couple of indie tunes I think would've been right at home on the soundtrack...
Greg Summerlin - "Unlucky in Love"
Say Hi - "Bluetime"
