{Noah and The Whale}
Get ready to say hello to your new favourite band!
This London quartet pen poetic pop songs in the vein of Belle and Sebastian or Acid House Kings and the group's new single "Five Years Time" surely one of the summer's most infectious tunes.
"Five Years Time" features a toe tapping melody punctuated by whistling, ukulele and some wispy backing vocals from Laura Marling, who just recently became a full-time band member. The band got their name from the film The Squid and the Whale (and also from the director’s name Noah Baumbach). Their debut album officially releases on August 11th, but in the meantime you can listen to a handful of tunes floating around the net.
