{Swerve Festival}


Swerve Festival is a new annual festival dedicated to celebrating West Coast creative culture and its community inspired by art, film, and music. This three-day celebration will be held in Los Angeles this weekend (Sept. 28-30).

Swerve Fest will feature FREE Music Performances from: DeVotchKa, The Black Angels and Bonde Do Role, Foreign Born, Oh No! Oh My!, Snowden, Illinois, Thee More Shallows and more. Just head over to their site and register!

Also catch Swerve Festival’s closing night party at the Echoplex that will feature a special live performance by We Are Scientists. Tickets are only $5!

View a couple of trailers for films premiering at Swerve Fest on their official site. This includes Anton Corbjn's Control, a film about the life and death of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis. Also checkout the trailer for Steve Berra's dramedy The Good Life starring: Mark Webber, Zooey Deschanel, Harry Dean Stanton, Bill Paxton, Chris Klein, Patrick Fugit, and Drea de Matteo in a story that revolves around a young man (Webber) who is encouraged by a new friend (Deschanel) to cope with living in a town where he doesn't necessarily fit in.
