{Wax Tailor}

Wax Tailor, aka JC le Saout is France's answer to hip-hop meets downtempo. Wax Tailor's forthcoming sophmore album, Hope & Sorrow, shows him taking a different approach to making music. After making a sample heavy debut album his first go around, he decided to replace much of that with live vocals (with the inclusion of guest vocalists), therefore changing the structures to a more pop oriented album. Standouts include "The Way We Lived" featuring guest neo-soul singer Sharon Jones and "We Be" featuring spoken word poet Ursula Rucker. Other highlights include the first single, "To Dry Up" / "The Games You Play", which will be released on iTunes and other digital retailers on March 20th.

Hope and Sorrow is out April 3, 2007 on Lab’oratoire.
