This weekend, over 350 films from 40 countries are set to premiere at The Newport Beach Film Festival, running April 20-30. Here are but a handful of trailers...

Art School Confidential is the new Terry Zwigoff film based on the comic by Dan Clowes. The story follows Jerome, an art student who dreams of becoming a great. Arriving as a freshman at a prestigious East Coast art school filled with every artsy type there is, Jerome quickly discovers his affected style and arrogance won't get him very far. The film stars: John Malkovich, Anjelica Huston, and Max Minghella. View the trailer.

The Oh in Ohio is a love triangle comedy starring: Parker Posey, Danny DeVito, Paul Rudd, Misha Barton, and Liza Minelli. View the trailer.
Here's a couple of Korean films making their So Cal debuts...

Typhoon is an action-adventure involving espionage between North and South Korea. View the trailer. (Sorry, could only find a foreign trailer)

Rikidozan, based on a true story that chronicles the life of Korean-born wrestler Rikidozan, who, after being barred from Japanese wrestling because of his ethnic origins, became a sensation in the United States in the 1950s. View the trailer.
Here's a couple of other highly anticipated films premiering (one opening the festival, the other closing), however I was unable to find trailers for these...

The Illusionist follows a magician in turn-of-the-century Vienna who falls in love with Princess Sophie, a woman well above his social standing. When she becomes engaged to Crown Prince Leopold, the magician uses his dark arts to win her back and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna. The film stars: Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, Jessica Biel, and Rufus Sewell.
Neverwas is a mystery/drama of a psychiatrist forced to confront his own demons when he learns that one of his patients was inspired by a book written by the shrink's late father. The film stars: Aaron Eckhart, Nick Nolte, Alan Cumming, Vera Farmiga, William Hurt, Jessica Lange, Ian McKellen, Michael Moriarty, and Brittany Murphy.
