Thanks to the success of Buena Vista Social Club documentary, both the album and the film, many musicians were able to resurrect their careers, and deservedly so.
Here's some of my favorite tracks from Pio's 2002's album Soneros de Verdad. While his voice may not be as strong as yesteryears, he still carried a note. His voice projects much emotion on the bolero "Cuando Ya No Me Quieras", and while the title indicates this is a Pío Leiva album, he's not the only one singing lead on some cuts. Younger members of Soneros de Verdad also lend a hand.
